This includes pain (spinal or limb(s)) or dysfunction relating to sport or work or of spontaneous onset.

The initial assessment involves a thorough history and physical examination after which any of the following treatments may be employed as deemed most appropriate with the patients consent.

  • Manipulative therapy, which involves mobilisation or manipulation of joints both spinal and peripheral.
  • Muscle Energy of the Pelvis
  • Mechanical Traction
  • Massage, which could be soft tissue massage, or deep connective tissue massage or friction massage.
  • Taping or splinting with brace.
  • Exercise instruction and prescription. This may include specific stretching or strengthening program or muscle imbalance retraining or core stability programs. Gym balls, theraband, steps and wobble boards may be used to facilitate strengthening
  • Advice on posture and injury prevention with attention to ergonomics.
  • Acupuncture
  • Electrotherapy including laser, ultrasound, interferential TENS, Electrical muscle stimulation
  • Ergonomic/ postural advice regarding injury prevention
  • Form-thotics A soft form of orthotic
